How long have you been in the choir?

This is my second year.

What’s your favorite PFLC song?

Freedom – it’s so fun to sing and the audience can tell we’re having a blast.

What’s your favorite thing about being in this choir?

Being back into making music again in a community of lovely ladies!

What do you like to do outside of choir?

Bike, run, read, go to concerts, hang with my honey, drink Minnesota beer and black tea, jump in lakes, and do crossword puzzles.

Who are your favorite local bands/musicians?

Pert Near Sandstone, Trampled by Turtles, I’ve been getting into Hippo Campus, and DJ Fancy Restaurant, who knows just how much Robyn is enough Robyn (never enough)

What’s your go-to karaoke song?

I haven’t sung karaoke in years, but if Man in the Mirror ever comes on at a bar, I can get down. It’s a family tradition.

If there was a movie about your life, who would play you?

God, I hope Winona Ryder.

What do you want to be when you grow up?

How long have you been in the choir?

This is my second year and it’s like the second year I’ve ever been alive.

What’s you favorite PFLC song?

All of them. I have no favorite children

What’s your favorite thing about being in this choir?

The other women! I love them all. Also, the energy & rush I get from singing a gig.

What do you like to do outside of choir?

Face painting, watching movies and reading comics. I’m a dog groomer for a living and I love that too. I also love hiking, biking, and camping and singing while I do all of the above.

Who are your favorite local bands/musicians?

There’s so much! Local? Dessa, Trampled by Turtles, Jeremy Messersmith, you know, the usual. I also love to go to The Kitty Cat Klub & The Turf Club and find new young bands to fall in love with. My all time big faves are Ani DiFranco & Talking Heads

What’s your go-to karaoke song?

“Fell in Love with a Girl” by The White Stripes

If there was a movie about your life, who would play you?

Claire Danes or maybe Gillian Anderson or an orange cat.

Since 2011

What’s your favorite PFLC song?

Flood Plain by Molly Balcom-Raleigh. It’s also fun to sing Violet by Jeremy Messersmith.

What’s your favorite thing about being in this choir?

The opportunity to sing at First Ave and other exciting venues. Singing with incredible, strong, smart, funny women!

What do you like to do outside of choir?

Volunteer in my community for Open Arms of MN and Store To Door. I also like to ride my scooter in the Summer.

Hollow Boys, Catbath, Little Man, Kinda Kinky, Haley Bonar, The Uranium Club, Ye Ye Pow

 How long have you been in the choir?

This is my 4th year

What’s your favorite PFLC song? 

I love all our originals – Floodplain, Expiration, We Can Be – it’s really amazing the amount of talent in this choir!

What’s your favorite thing about being in this choir? 

Being a part of a community of amazing women and creating music together.  We also eat very, very well.

What do you like to do outside of choir? 

Social work, yoga, walking, hiking, going to the beach, anything FUN (fairs, rollercoasters, ziplining, canoeing, you name it and I’ll do it – I’m a bit of a thrill seeker!)

Who are your favorite local bands/musicians? 

Dessa, Doomtree, Aby Wolf, Ashley Gold, Toki Wright, Mason Jennings, Roe Family Singers, Danami, Caroline Smith, Chastity Brown, The Anatomy Of…(my brother’s singer-songwriter project – CHECK HIM OUT HE RULES AND I’M NOT JUST SAYING THAT BECAUSE HE’S MY BROTHER)

What’s your go-to karaoke song? 

I’m not too fond of karaoke because I’m more comfortable singing with many voices but a friend and I love to sing “The Way You Make Me Feel” by Michael Jackson and once my husband and I sang “Zero” by the Smashing Pumpkins and were complimented heavily…it was weird.

Describe yourself in three words 

Intelligent, earnest, warrior

If there was a movie about your life, who would play you? 

Jennifer Lawrence?  That would be awesome.

What do you want to be when you grow up? 

A children’s mental health therapist and I’m really close to getting there!
